Dear Parents and Guardians,
Welcome to Blessed Sacrament's Catholic Faith Formation for grades Kindergarten through Six. We meet on:
SUNDAY MORNINGS from 9:00 – 10:15 AM.
We anticipate that Sunday mornings will create a comfortable time-frame for you and your family to attend 10:30 AM Mass. Our structure will look like:
9:00 – 10:15 AM Classes for your children Kindergarten – Grade 6
and
10:30 AM Mass Children’s Liturgy of The Word during Mass
(children ages 3-7)
Our goal is to create a family environment surrounded by our Church traditions and teachings.
Our first session will begin on Sunday, September 13, 2009 from 9:00 – 10:15 AM.
REGISTRATION IS :
Wednesday, September 2, 2009
from 3:00 – 9:00 pm in our Faith Formation office in school
(unless you pre-registered last March 2009)
Registration is for ALL students (Grades 7-Confirmation, also) – those students new to our program, as well as those students who have attended our program previously . The registration fee for this year remains $25.00 per student or $45.00 per family. As always, if this is a burden, please contact us. Enclosed please find a new pink security form. Please bring this completed form with you when you register. We require one form per child.
If our program will be closed due to inclement weather or any other emergency, please stay tuned to WROW (AM) 590, WYJB (FM) 95.5, WFLY (FM) 92.3 or WPTR (FM) 96.3 or watch Channel 9 News for the announcement. We will also post the closing on our Parish web site:

Please visit this site and inform your family of all the “happenings” in our Parish. You can find this Faith Formation program when you link onto “Faith Formation K-6”.
It is encouraged that children be enrolled in the first grade as a prerequisite for the second grade - First Eucharist Class. If you are aware of others who may have a child in first grade, please encourage them to enroll their child in our program this year. As you are aware, we also have a comprehensive kindergarten level. Please encourage others to enroll as well.
We offer the "Children's Liturgy of the Word" for all our children ages 3-7. Every Sunday during the 10:30 AM Mass. Before the First Reading these children will follow our catechist (Ms. Veronica Bozic) downstairs to our Church basement meeting room for their own age appropriate reading of The Word . Welcome!!!
There is something else new we are offering this year…
Grades 3 and 4 and 5 and 6 at different times during our school year will experience a small and enjoyable “retreat”. The retreat experience will take place in our school gym. We ask that your child on the day of his or her retreat meet in the gym by 8:45am because we will begin the retreat walking over to Church and attending 9:00am Mass as a class. We will then proceed to our school for the completion of their retreat. Please have your child bring their own lunch. Beverages will be provided. We will complete our retreat by 1:00pm in the gym and you may pick-up your child at that time. Permission slips will be forwarded to you by your child’s catechist a week before each retreat.
As we have done in the past, we will conduct a First Reconciliation Retreat and a Fist Communion Retreat during the second semester sessions.... more information will follow.
