Confirmation candidates will meet at St. Francis of Assisi (formerly St. James) on Thursday, February 9th and 16th, both dates 6:30 to 8:00.

Dear Confirmation Candidates and Parents.
Congratulations on your decision to pursue your Roman Catholic faith. We have been prayerfully formulating your journey within our Faith Formation program to assist you to see clearly the symbols, rituals and meaningful characters relating to your Sacrament of Confirmation.
. It would be so helpful to you, the candidate, to begin this journey with your sponsor. Yes! Choose your sponsor now and begin this journey together.
What is a sponsor? A sponsor is a person of the Roman Catholic Faith, your
Faith companion, a friend with whom you can share questions and convictions about our faith and an official witness.
How do you choose a sponsor? The sponsor:
- Must be Roman Catholic, Confirmed and active in his/her own
Catholic community.
- May be the same as your Baptismal sponsor (your Godparent).
- Must be someone other than a parent.
- Must be at least 16 years old .
- We suggest that your sponsor be willing to participate in our
Sponsor/Candidate ritual sessions (four this semester and at least one in the Fall).
If your sponsor is unable to attend our Sponsor/Candidate sessions
we ask that a parent attend with the candidate.
